Wolves Sweep Greyhounds; Varsity Gets District Win

The St. Paul’s Wolves Varsity and JVA traveled to Ocean Springs, MS and came away with two solid wins.

The JVA started things off with a 12-1 win. St. Paul’s built an eleven goal lead and barely missed the shutout when the Greyhounds scored with 2:11 in the fourth quarter. The Wolves were led by freshman attackman Christopher Flood with two goals and three assists. Sophomore attackman Luc Hebert added one goal and two assists while freshman midfielder Austin Holincheck was credited with two goals. Santiago Morales scored one goal and dished one assist. Hanson Stuckey, Jarrett Meibaum, Andrew Curry, Josh Murr, Tyler Petro, and JP Sutherlin each scored one goal. Freshman midfielder Jaques duPassage had one assist. Goalkeeper JC Flick stopped eight shots to earn the win.

The Varsity Wolves opened LHSLL South District play by defeating the previously unbeaten Greyhounds 14-8. Attackman Parker Hagood led the Wolves with four goals and one assist. Dylan Futrell added three goals. Ryan Flood added two goals and an assist. Eli Crosby was credited with one goal and two assists. Matt Gallagher scored two goals. Camden St. Romain added on assist.

The win evens St. Paul’s overall record to 1-1. The Greyhounds fall to 3-1. The Wolves return to action on Wednesday
